Ingredients
- 1 bag (300 gram) of tortilla chips, plain.
- 1 clove of garlic
- 150 gram pickled peppers
- 150 gram minced meat
- 1 red onion
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 2 teaspoons paprika powder
- olive oil
- 200 gram grated cheese (Gouda)

Kitchen equipment needed
- Oven + baking tray
- Chef’s knife + cutting board
- Small bowl
- Medium-sized skillet
Preparation — 5 minutes
PRE-HEAT the oven to about 200 degrees celsius or 390 degrees fahrenheit.
PEEL the red onion and garlic clove and cut in small pieces. HEAT a little bit of olive oil in the medium-sized skillet and add the chopped onion and garlic. After about 1 minute, add the minced meat until it’s brown and fully cooked. That will only take a few minutes. Season with pepper, salt, paprika powder and chili powder and after about one minute more, the meat mixture is ready.
Baking the nachos — 10 minutes
DIVIDE the tortilla chips evenly over a baking tray. ADD the meat mixture and chop the pickled peppers in smaller pieces before you toss them into the baking tray. Finish it off with grated Gouda cheese and bake in the oven for about 10 minutes, or until the cheese is nicely melted and golden brown.
