  • about 400 grams of old bread, e.g. baguettes
  • 4 bananas
  • 700 ml full fat milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1,5 tablespoon cinamon
  • 100 gram sugar
  • butter for coating

Preparation -- 10 minutes

Combine milk with eggs, cinnamon and sugar in a large bowl. Chop the bread into pieces, not too large, and add them to the milk mixture.

Let the bread soak until it's completely moist and meanwhile pre-heat the oven to 180 degrees celsius or 350 degrees fahrenheit.

Finishing the banana bread pudding -- 30 minutes

Peel the bananas and divide them into thin slices, stir them into the bread mixture. Coat a large oven dish with butter and divide the bread mixture over the oven dish.

Bake the bread pudding about 20 minutes in the oven, the exact time depends on the oven and the size of the bread pieces. The milk mixture should've become firm.

Add some more cinnamon and/or sugar on top before serving if you like. A delicious breakfast, but can also be served as a dessert. Enjoy!
