Preparation – 10 minutes

Wash and slice the tomatoes into slices and tear the lettuce into large pieces. Use 2 lettuce leaves for each layer when assembling the sandwich. Heat a frying pan and fry the bacon slices until crispy.

Use a silicone brush to brush both sides of the bread with olive oil, then grill on both sides in a griddle pan.

Finishing the club sandwich – 5 minutes

Spread the slices of white bread with some mayonnaise. Layer the fillings in the following order: lettuce, tomato slices, chicken breast, then fried bacon. Top with another slice of bread.

Repeat the layering of fillings and finish the club sandwich with a third slice of white bread. Make sure the side with the mayonnaise is facing down.

Cut the club sandwich in half and poke a wooden skewer through both halves to prevent the sandwich from falling apart.

A common addition to a club sandwich is a handful of salted crisps or sweet pickles. You can serve your sandwich with some of these, if you like. Enjoy your meal!
