Crab cocktail

Ingredients

  • 1 can of crab meat, about 100 gram
  • 1 hard boiled egg
  • lettuce of your choice, e.g. lamb's lettuce
  • 1 shallot or small onion
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • pinch of cayenne pepper
  • pepper and salt to taste
  • optional: ground paprika

Preparation -- 5 minutes

Rinse the lettuce of your choice and peel the hard boiled egg. Finely chop the shallot or small onion. Drain the canned crab meat and add it to a bowl.

Finishing the crab cocktail -- 5 minutes

Crush the boiled egg using a fork and add it to the bowl along with 2 tablespoons of mayonnaise. Add the finely chopped onion and season with pepper, salt and a pinch of cayenne pepper.  

Serve on a bit of lettuce and garnish with a pinch of ground paprika. This easy crab cocktail is great as a starter or to go with some toast, bread or as a dipping sauce. Enjoy!
