Preparation -- 5 minutes

Peel the apple and cut it into thin slices. Wash the sage leaves to make sure no sand will be there.

Putting the goat's cheese toastie together -- 10 minutes

Start with two slices of goat's cheese, each on another slice of bread. Place the apple slices on top and tear the sage leaves into smaller pieces and place them on top of the apple slices.

Top it off with another slice of goat's cheese and place the other two slices of bread on top to create two toasties. Spread butter on the outside of the toastie, on both sides.

Heat the large skillet on medium heat and place the toasties carefully in the skillet. If necessary, add in more butter. After about 3 minutes, turn them over and cook 3 minutes more on medium heat.

When the toastie has a beautiful brown colour on both sides, but the cheese hasn't melted enough, place a lid on the skillet and turn the heat down for another few minutes. Enjoy your toastie!
