Cranberry cookie hearts

Ingredients

  • 250 grams of flour
  • 100 grams of sugar
  • 50 grams of dried cranberries
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
  • 60 grams of unsalted butter
  • Splash of whole milk

  • Stand mixer, or a bowl and whisk
  • Rolling pin
  • 1 baking tray, lined with baking parchment
  • Oven
  • Heart shaped cookie cutter
  • Cooling rack

Preparation 15 minutes

Beat together the flour, egg and butter in a stand mixer. Add the lemon juice and milk to the mixture. Continue beating until a smooth dough forms.

Cut the dried cranberries into smaller pieces and add these to the cookie dough. Mix well to distribute the dried fruit. Preheat the oven to a temperature of 180 degrees Celsius.

Dust the work surface with flour. Roll out the cookie dough with a rolling pin (do not roll out the cookie dough too thinly). Use a heart-shaped cutter to cut out hearts from the cookie dough.

Place the cookies on the parchment-lined baking tray.

Baking the cookies 10 minutes

Place the tray of cookies in the oven and bake for 10 minutes, then check to see whether the cookies are ready. Place the cranberry cookies on a cooling rack and leave to cool completely.

You can store these cookies in an airtight container for 5 days. Enjoy!
