- Small sauce-pan
Preparation — 5 minutes
PRE-HEAT your oven to 200 degrees celsius or 392 degrees fahrenheit. CLEAN the chicken breast by removing excess fat and tissue. DICE the chicken breast, set aside. Meanwhile, heat up the (home-made) satay sauce in the small sauce-pan. RINSE off the lettuce and tear off a few leaves.
Finishing up the Italian bread with chicken satay sauce — 15 minutes
BAKE the Italian bread in the oven for 10 minutes, until browned. PLACE the skillet on medium-high heat, add in a knob of butter or olive oil if you prefer; bake the chicken until tender. REMOVE the Italian bread from the oven, let cool off for a minute or two. SLICE in half, add satay sauce on both sides, rip the lettuce leaves and add it on the bun too. Finish by adding pieces of chicken. Enjoy your Italian bread with chicken satay sauce.
