- 1 kilo waxy potatoes (~35 ounces)
- olive oil
- teaspoon paprika powder
- teaspoon garlic powder
- pinch of chili powder (depending if you like it hot)
- pepper and salt to taste
Kitchen equipment needed
- Cutting board & chef’s knife
- Medium-sized pan
- Baking dish
- An oven
- Potato peeler
Preparation — 10 minutes
PRE-HEAT the oven to 180 degrees celsius or 350 degrees fahrenheit. PEEL the potatoes using a potato peeler and cut them in larger pieces. Boil them for about 3 minutes in a medium-sized pan filled with water and add a pinch of salt. Drain the potato pieces in a colander and wait a few minutes.
TOSS the potatoes with some garlic powder, paprika powder, chili powder and a lot of olive oil, but not too much. It’s up to you how much spices you want to add. Season with pepper and salt and make sure it’s well mixed.
Roasting the potatoes — 20 minutes
PLACE the potatoes in a baking dish and bake them for about 20 minutes. Or until they are golden brown, crispy and well cooked on the inside. If your oven has a grill setting, you can choose to set the oven to grill for the last few minutes for extra crisp and of course extra color. It’s that easy and oh so delicious!
