Spinach pasta with garlic

Ingredients

  • 500 gram spinach pasta
  • 1 shallot
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 1 chili pepper (Spanish pepper)
  • pinch of nutmeg
  • pepper and salt to taste
  • olive oil
  • handful of grated cheese (we've used Mimolette)

Spinach Pasta With Garlic

Preparation -- 10 minutes

Fill a large pan with water and salt and bring to a boil. Cook the pasta until it's al dente, the exact cooking time depends on the type of pasta you're using.

Peel and finely chop the shallot and garlic cloves. Remove the seeds of the chili pepper for a milder version. Chop the chili pepper into thin strips.

Finishing the spinach pasta with garlic -- 5 minutes

Heat a large dash of olive oil in a skillet and sauté the shallot, garlic and chili pepper. Drain the pasta and add it to the skillet, stir well and season with nutmeg, pepper and salt.

Serve with a bit of grated cheese and a simple salad. Enjoy!
