Preparation -- 10 minutes

Peel and finely chop the onion and garlic cloves. Rinse the greens onion, chop into rings and set aside. Divide the beef into cubes, not too large. Create a sauce by combining tamarind, brown sugar, soy sauce, beef stock and ground ginger.

Finishing the stir-fried tamarind beef -- 15 minutes

Heat a wok on high heat and add a dash of oil. Sear the beef on high heat and then transfer to a plate. Sauté the onion and garlic for a few minutes and then add the tamarind mixture.

Let it reduce a bit until it's a sticky sauce and add the beef back to the wok. Heat the beef and make sure the beef is still rosé, otherwise the beef will become tough.

Serve with noodles or rice, green onions and a salad or vegetables of your choice. Enjoy!
