In the Netherlands we celebrate kings day, and what else do you expect from the Dutch? Everything is orange that day, yes also these mini orange pies!
I'm curious what the association is of orange with Dutch royalty. Though the pies looks very nice. 
Because Dutch royalty ascend from "House of orange", just like the color. To emphasize it more, Dutch people tend to dress in orange during Kingsday.
