Squeeze juice from half a lemon. Cut a slice off the other half of the lemon and cut it at the bottom side to be able to put it onto the copper bug. You'll use the lemon slice for garnish.
Wash the sprig of fresh mint and check for soil or residue. When using ice cubes from a freezer bag, it's useful to take them out of the bag in advance.
Add 45 ml of vodka to the copper mug using a jigger (bar measure). Add in freshly squeezed juice from half a lime.
Fill the copper mug to the brim with ice cubes. Pour in the contents of 1 bottle or can of ginger beer, or until the copper mug has almost been completely filled.
Garnish the cocktail with the lemon wedge on the rim of the mug. Add a sprig of fresh mint into the cocktail and serve with a (copper) straw if desired.
Enjoy this delicious and easy-to-make moscow mule!
