ok I want to make this :) but what is ground laos is it a herb/spice ? tried to look iit up and get a whole bunce of travel references ! 
Hi Bill, thank you for your comment! Yes laos is a spice, it's also called galangal. If you can't find any, google tells me you can also substitute with an equal amount of ground ginger with a pinch of cinnamon. Enjoy the chicken dish, have a great evening!

i have just cooked and eaten this amazing dish so fruity with a little heat have a couple of portions left and will freeze for later in the month . if any one is looking to make this i encourage them to do so and do it to the recipe !

well i cooked it today after over night marination eat it with a portion of boiled rice and mixed veg IT WAS BRILLIANT 5 STAR MEAL fruity with a little heat . will make this again .
since i live alone i have a couple of spare portions for the freezer (if i don't get piggish and eat it all first ) . thank you for my new favorite recipe site .
