Ingredients
- 2 slices of bread
- butter for baking
- 1 egg
- 100 ml milk
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- about 6 tablespoons of Nutella (store-bought or make your own)
- small handful of strawberries
- optional: powdered sugar for dusting

Kitchen equipment needed
- large bowl
- whisk
- large skillet
- spatula
- cutting board & paring knife
Preparation — 10 minutes
Start with the homemade Nutella. You can follow our recipe for homemade Nutelle here.
RINSE the strawberries with running cold water and remove of the stems. CUT the strawberries in slices and set aside. MIX together the egg, milk and sugar. You can vary by adding a pinch of ground cinnamon if you like.

Finishing the french toast with homemade Nutella and strawberries — 5 minutes
HEAT butter in a large skillet on medium high heat. Dip the slices of bread into the egg mixture until completely soaked, immediately place them in the hot skillet. Don’t let them soak in the mixture too long, the bread will absorb the liquid and become very mushy.
BAKE the toast on both sides for about 2 minutes, or until beautiful golden brown. TRANSFER the toast to a plate and divide the Nutella on the hot French toast. DIVIDE the strawberry slices, dust with powdered sugar and enjoy!
