Peel the shallot. Wash and peel the peel the apple, then dice it. Add apple, shallot, cloves, cardamom pods, dried chili peppers, sugar and white wine vinegar into the medium-sized skillet.
Bring to a boil for and cook for about 20 minutes on high heat, until the moisture has been evaporated for a bit. Slice the kaki fruit open and dice.
Add kaki fruit to the mixture, cook for another 10 minutes. Remove cardamom, chili peppers and cloves. This delicious kaki chutney perfect as a side for turkey or chicken.
