Line the airtight container with cling film and set it aside. roughly chop the almonds or other nuts using a chef's knife and cutting board. Heat up coconut oil in a small saucepan and let it melt slowly.
Use a whisk to stir in the cocoa powder, mix well until you've reached a smooth mixture. Remove the small saucepan from the heat before adding the agave syrup, this step is important to keep the mixture smooth.
Adding the agave while the mixture is still on the heat will result in a thickened mixture and that's not what we want.
Add almonds, cranberries or other nuts to the mixture. Pour the mixture into the prepared container and refrigerate until firm. This will take about an hour, or speed it up by placing it in the freezer for about 10 minutes.
Use a sharp knife to cut the chocolate bar into pieces. Enjoy this sugar-free dark chocolate bites with a cup of coffee or tea. It's a great replacement for regular chocolate for people who can't eat sugar.
It's so easy, so give it a try! you can also add a little bit of water instead of the nuts, then you can easily spread it onto a slice of bread.
