Nice overview of dairy products. I wish I could make my own creme fraiche but so far my yogurt experiments have failed. Just not enough live bacteria in commercial yogurt so I'd have to buy some lactobacillus, I guess. 
Thanks! My mom used to make her own yogurt. She bought bacteria to do that, so I'm guessing that would be the same for making your own creme fraiche. Never tried it myself, I did make my own ricotta and that's so easy and delicious :)
