Gravatar van Sara The struggle is so real. I've been so proud of my last three submissions but no luck. Thank you for these tips! Hopefully they will be enough to put me over the edge next time.

Gravatar van Adina Great tips, my photos are often accepted, but not always easily, sometimes I have to apply 2 or 3 times with different pictures of the same food and that is annoying and time consumming. Ackward angle and exposure issues are the main reasons for the rejections, it is nice to find out what exactly they do mean with that. :)

Gravatar van Chloe | Boxwood Avenue Found you guys through a google search! I'd honestly LOVE for you to look at a few posts that have gotten declined for being 'underexposed' - I feel that if I exposed them anymore, I'd have a white photo! http://boxwoodavenue.com/blog/blackberry-tomatillo-preserves http://boxwoodavenue.com/blog/parmesan-rosemary-garlic-oven-roasted-chickpeas http://boxwoodavenue.com/blog/blackberry-jelly-crumble-bars

Gravatar van Ohmydish Hi Chloe, we've taken a look at your images and we must say they look a-mazing! In our experience Foodgawker prefers slightly overexposed images to others. We used to go back and edit the picture for them, but we stopped doing that because Foodgawker is by no means the only source of traffic. We'd rather create a new recipe in the time it takes to resubmit and mayyybe getting accepted. We submit one new image every day, and our acceptance rating is about 90%. The 10% that does not get accepted by FoodGawker is their loss. Just keep on blogging !
