  • 4 scoops of vanilla ice cream
  • 400 ml espresso
  • 50 grams dark chocolate
  • 50 ml heavy or whipping cream, unsweetened
  • A small handful of nougatine nuts
  • 4 cat tongue cookies or different cookies

Affogato With Chocolate Sauce

Preparation – 10 minutes

Make a simple chocolate sauce by heating the heavy cream in a small saucepan at low heat. Chop the dark chocolate into small pieces and stir them into the warmed cream. Use a whisk to make a smooth sauce.

Use your coffee maker or a percolator to make 400 ml of espresso – or, if you prefer, make two stiff cups of coffee, preferably dark roast.

Finish the affogato with chocolate sauce – 10 minutes

Put a generous scoop of vanilla ice cream in four glasses or coffee cups, followed by a bit of the chocolate sauce.  

Pour the hot espresso into the glasses, followed by some nougatine nuts as a topping. Add a cookie to finish the sweet treat. Enjoy!
