Artichoke with ham

This artichoke with ham is super creamy and delicious. A great sauce to dip your bread in during lunch or as a starter.

  • 1 jar of artichokes (about 225 gram)
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 1 red onion
  • 100 ml heavy cream
  • 3 slices of raw ham (e.g. Serrano)
  • olive oil
  • pepper and salt to taste
  • bread for serving

Preparation -- 10 minutes

Peel and finely chop the red onion and garlic cloves. Drain the artichokes and divide them into halves. Divide the ham into smaller pieces.

Finishing the artichoke with ham -- 10 minutes

Heat a bit of olive oil in a skillet and sauté the garlic and onion for a few minutes. Add the artichoke halves and cook them some more. Turn down the heat and add 100 ml heavy cream.

Let it simmer a few minutes more until the onion, garlic and artichokes are a bit softened and the sauce has thickened. Season with pepper and salt and serve with pieces of ham and bread for dipping. Enjoy!
