
Some good ideas in this recipe which I tweaked a bit. I'd not used breadcrumbs on top of pastry before and that worked really well, and the lemon in the pastry was subtle but a nice touch. I thought that lemon and spice and vanilla were too many flavours and so I omitted the vanilla and used a mix spice (cinnamon, star anise and cardamom) instead of plain cinnamon. The apricot jam on the lattice work top also worked well. A really good recipe that is going to be cooked often (but impossible to prep in 30 minutes!)
