tip: if possible, opt for a good, rustic loaf; i used cornmeal bread from my local bakery.
Wash the radishes, remove the leaves and cut them into slices. Cut the avocado in half and remove the stone. Remove the avocado flesh from the skin with a spoon, and cut both halves into slices.
Cut two thick slices of rustic bread. Place half an avocado, in slices, on each slice of bread. Sprinkle a little salt and pepper over the avocado.
Sprinkle over the radish slices, and garnish with a little rocket. To make it extra tasty, you could grate a little orange zest over the sandwich. Enjoy your meal!
Can you eat raw avocado?
Yes, you don't need to cook the avocado first. Avocado can actually become bitter during cooking or baking. The avocado also quickly loses its nutrients during cooking.
Can you eat an overripe avocado?
Yes, if you have an overripe avocado, it will be quite soft and may have some brown spots. The brown spots are not bad for you, but because of the way they taste it is better to cut them out.
