Making the sparkling blood orange and Cointreau cocktail – 5 minutes

Using a juicer, squeeze the juice of 2.5 blood oranges and 1 lime into a bowl. Mix well with a whisk.

Using your finger, lightly wet the rims of your champagne or cocktail glasses with the blood orange and lime juice.

Dip the rims of the glasses in the white caster sugar. This is an easy and quick way to make a sugar rim on the glasses (you could also use granulated sugar).

Fill the glasses one-third full with the juice. Add 50 ml of Cointreau per glass, and carefully top up the glasses with carbonated water.

Thinly slice a blood orange and garnish the glasses with some mint leaves and blood orange slices. Enjoy this deliciously fresh cocktail!
