Summer is here! this means we get to publish a whole bunch of delicious recipes tailored for summer. We are including this ice-cold drink, strawberry, lime, cucumber and mint water.
You'll be amazed at how simple it is to make, and how quenching it is. Enjoy this cold drink on a hot summer day.
Rinse the strawberries, cucumber and fresh mint leaves. Use the knife and cutting board to cut the cucumber, strawberries and limes into semi-thin slices.
We've used a mandolin to cut each slice evenly, but using a knife is also perfectly fine. Layer the strawberries, cucumber and lime slices along with mint leaves in each water carafe.
Add ice cubes somewhere in between, then fill with fresh cold water.
We used plain cold tap water to fill the 3 water carafe. If you live in an area where tap water is non-drinkable, use bottled water instead. You can give this recipe a twist by using carbonated water instead of regular water.
You can refrigerate the strawberry, cucumber, lime and mint water for up to 2 days. The longer the water sits, the stronger the flavour.
We found that refilling 3 times is about the maximum you can do when it comes to flavours. You can check this by looking at the strawberries. They get semi-translucent when out of flavour.
