We recently had a party, and a lot of people were coming for dinner. We've seen these burgers at a local food festival and wanted to share the recipe with you. No worries, we never eat this much meat! :-)
Pour lots of olive oil into the large bowl and add in the pork belly slices. Coat every pork belly slice with a lot of (assorted) herbs and use your hands to coat every piece of meat.
Cover the large bowl with some cling film and marinate the meat overnight into the refrigerator.
Pre-heat your oven to a temperature of 150 degrees celsius or 302 degrees fahrenheit. Get the marinated pork belly from the fridge and turn once more to make sure every piece of meat is well coated.
When the oven has reached the required temperature, place every pork belly slice on the baking rack. tip: cover the bottom part of your oven with tin foil for easy cleaning afterward.
Bake the meat until crispy.
Wash, and dry the lettuce. Slice the cucumber, pickles, and ripe tomato. Slice open the hamburger bun, add a layer of lettuce, cheese, a baked crisp pork belly slice, pickles, cucumber, and sauce. Place the top part of the bun on top and enjoy!
