Cut about ¼ of a cucumber. Wash the cucumber and 3 fresh mint leaves under cold running water.
Peel the banana and remove any strings. Add the banana to the blender along with 125 ml of yoghurt, 3 fresh mint leaves, the cucumber and 75 g of fresh spinach.
Blend until smooth; the longer you leave the blender on the smoother the end result will be. Pour your green smoothie into a nice, large glass and enjoy!
What kind of spinach should I use?
Always use fresh spinach. Frozen spinach is not good for use in a smoothie. Use young leaf or baby spinach. Wild spinach is also fine.
Can I make the green smoothie a day in advance?
Freshly made is, of course, always tastier. However, you can make this smoothie the evening before you drink it. That way, you don't have to go to any effort to have a delicious and healthy breakfast in the morning.
Just cover the smoothie with cling film and stir well once before drinking.
Can I add other ingredients?
This green smoothie is great fun to experiment with; add half a sour apple like a Granny Smith or Golden Delicious, for example. Or ice cubes to make it a refreshing summer drink!
