Homemade remoulade sauce

Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 shallot
  • 5 pickled gherkins
  • Full tablespoon of capers
  • 1 tablespoon of vinegar
  • Few sprigs of parsley and tarragon

Homemade Remoulade Sauce

Preparation – 10 minutes

Peel the shallot and dice it as finely as possible. Chop the capers and slice the gherkins as finely as possible.  

Remove the stems of the tarragon and parsley before chopping up the herbs.

Finish the homemade remoulade sauce – 5 minutes 

Mix the finely chopped shallot with the capers, gherkins, parsley, and tarragon. Next, add the mayonnaise, vinegar and mustard, and whisk everything into a smooth sauce.   

Season the sauce with salt and pepper. Perfect as an addition to fried fish, fish cakes, or baked potatoes. Enjoy!
