Preparation – 10 minutes
Use your hands to spread a few spoonfuls of wholegrain mustard over the ham. Make sure the entire ham is coated with mustard.
Add more mustard if you feel it's necessary. Heat a small saucepan over a low heat, then add 115 grams of butter and let it melt.
Once the butter has melted, increase the heat slightly and add 2 tablespoons of brown sugar and a generous amount of honey. From this point on, stir constantly with a whisk.
Don't stop or the sugar won't combine properly with the butter. Only stop stirring when a slightly thickened sauce has formed; this takes about 5 minutes.
Turn the heat to the lowest setting to keep the sticky glaze liquid.

Grease a baking dish with butter and place the ham in the centre. Pour the glaze over the ham, and season with pepper.
Finishing the honey and mustard glazed ham – 1 hour 15 minutes
Heat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Place the ham in the oven and bake until the ham reaches an internal temperature of exactly 53 degrees Celsius.
The ham should not exceed 63 degrees Celsius, otherwise it will become very dry. Keep an eye on the ham while it bakes.

Serve the glazed ham immediately; slice it finely and enjoy!
