To make an italian antipasti platter, use the ingredients of your choice. This is our example of a delicious antipasti platter!
Start by preparing the tortellini skewers. You can find the recipe here.
Let the cheeses come to room temperature. Cut the sun-dried tomatoes into smaller slices. Wash the grapes (white or red, or both!) and pat dry. Do the same for the baby plum tomatoes.
Cut the pecorino and mozzarella into small cubes. Crumble the parmesan cheese into smaller chunks. Wrap some (sesame seed) breadsticks with a slice of Serrano ham. Cut the firm salami into thin slices.
Distribute the ingredients over the board. Put everything that can roll or fall off the board in the centre.
Sprinkle a pinch of smoked paprika over the mozzarella, this looks nice and gives the mozzarella some additional flavour.
Serving tip: delicious with additional varieties of Italian crispbreads (such as tarallucci tradizionali or fratelli laurieri). Serve with cocktail sticks and drinks of your choice. Enjoy!
Can I use different ingredients?
Of course, you can; vary this recipe as much as you like! You can serve a great variety of ingredients on an antipasti platter. Experiment with different combinations to find out what you enjoy!
Are the tortellini skewers essential?
No, they are not! The tortellini skewers look delicious (and they are). You don't have to include them on an antipasti platter, though.
Could I make a vegetarian antipasti platter?
Of course, replace all the meat with meat substitutes, or any other ingredient you like.
