Add smoked paprika and garam masala and mix well. Cook for a few minutes, until the minced beef is browned beautiful and season with pepper and salt.

Cover the oven dish with pre-cooked potato slices and create about 3 layers of potatoes. Pour the cream and egg mixture on top.

Hi Rita, the potatoes aren't on top, so not sure why you're confused? The layers are exactly how we described it; " POUR the cream and egg mixture on top. DIVIDE the minced beef and leek mixture over the oven dish and FINISH with a thick layer of grated cheese. " Greetings :-)

It says to use pre-cooked potatoes, so why do you have to check that the potatoes are done? Aren’t they already done?

Hello Grace, because pre-cooked potatoes aren't done completely :)
