Ingredients
- 1 small package of smoked salmon (slices)
- few leaves of lettuce (e.g. baby romaine lettuce)
- 2 tablespoons capers
- 1/2 lemon
- 2 tablespoons plain cream cheese
- fresh parsley for garnish
- pepper and salt to taste

Kitchen equipment needed
- cutting board & chef’s knife
- bowl
- spoon
- zester
Preparation — 5 minutes
Rinse the lettuce and remove any excess water. If needed you can remove the hard parts on the bottom of the lettuce leaves.
Finely chop 2 tablespoons capers and add them to the small bowl. Use a zester to create lemon strips and then squeeze a bit of juice into the bowl, about half a teaspoon. Add 2 tablespoons of plain cream cheese, combine well and season with pepper and salt.

Finishing the smoked salmon cocktail — 5 minutes
You can create this cocktail in a pretty cocktail glass, but you can also use other kinds of glasses or bowls. Add 1 or 2 lettuce leaves to the glass, half of the cream cheese mixture. Fold 1 or 2 slices of smoked salmon into the shape of a rose and place on top of the cream cheese. Garnish with some parsley, lemon zest and maybe a small slice of lemon. Serve immediately or refrigerate up to 2 hours max. Enjoy!
