tip: you can make the tandoori spice mix yourself, or use a ready-made spice mix.
Peel the garlic cloves and chop them finely. Remove any excess fat and sinew from the turkey and cut it into cubes.
Mix the turkey pieces with the garlic cloves, yoghurt, spice mix, olive oil and the juice of half a lemon. Make sure everything is well mixed and leave it to marinate for at least an hour.
Pierce all turkey pieces through the wooden skewers. If using a coal barbecue, heat it well in advance. If using a gas barbecue it is not necessary to preheat it.
Grill the turkey skewers on all sides until they are a nice golden brown. Delicious and served with gobi manchurian and lentil and roasted pepper bread. Enjoy your meal!
What can I use instead of a barbecue?
You can cook these turkey tandoori skewers on a griddle. Make sure that the extractor fan is switched on, as a lot of smoke is generated when grilling meat.
Can I use chicken instead of turkey?
Yes, you can. Use good quality chicken breast. Turkey and chicken can be prepared in much the same way.
