Preparation – 10 minutes

Peel and finely chop the onion. Heat a dash of sunflower oil in a small saucepan and sauté the onion for a few minutes.

Then stir in paprika, curry powder and cayenne pepper. Fry the tomato paste briefly to deacidify it. Deglaze with vinegar and then add tomato ketchup.

Add about 100 ml of water and let the sauce simmer for about 15 minutes. Meanwhile, fry the fries in oil or possibly in an air fryer.

Finishing the German currywurst – 20 minutes

Meanwhile, heat butter in a medium-sized skillet and fry the sausages until nicely browned on both sides. Add a dash of water, put the lid on the pan and cook the sausages for about 10 minutes.

Meanwhile, use a small blender or immersion blender to blend the sauce once the onions have softened. Season the smooth sauce with salt and pepper.

Divide the sausages into pieces, serve with fries and the curry sauce and finish with a little curry powder. Enjoy!
