Ingredients
- about 250 gram rice
- 2 pork fillets
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 shallot
- optional: about 2 cm ginger root
- about 300 gram pre-cut vegetables
- 2 tablespoons nasi spice mix (store-bought or make it yourself)
- dash of soy sauce
- optional: 1 chili pepper
- krupuk, atjar and/or fried egg for serving

Kitchen equipment needed
- cutting board & chef’s knife
- medium-sized pan
- colander
- wok or large skillet
Preparation — 10 minutes
FILL a medium-sized pan with water and salt and bring to a boil. COOK the rice, exact time depends on the type of rice you’re using.
Meanwhile PEEL and finely chop the shallot and garlic cloves. REMOVE the seeds of the chili pepper if you like it milder and finely chop the pepper. PEEL the ginger root and grate it finely. DIVIDE the pork fillets into small strips.

Finishing the quick nasi goreng with pork — 10 minutes
HEAT a bit of oil in a wok of large skillet and sauté the onion, garlic, ginger and chili pepper. ADD the pork and vegetables after a few minutes and stir it some more before you also add the spice mix.
DRAIN the rice and add it to the wok. STIR well and season with soy sauce. Enjoy!
