Vegetarian tortilla appetizers

Ingredients

  • 1 tomato
  • 16 basil leaves
  • 100 gram mozzarella
  • 2 tortillas - you can also use slices of bread instead
  • pepper and salt to taste
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar

Preparation -- 5 minutes

Rinse the tomato and divide into small slices. Also slice the mozzarella into small slices. Use a round cookie cutter or a small bowl to create small rounds of tortillas.

The remaining parts can be baked or fried in a dry skillet or in a frying pan to serve them as chips.

Finishing the vegetarian tortilla appetizers -- 5 minutes

Heat a skillet on medium heat and cook the tortilla rounds on both sides until they're beautiful golden brown. Transfer them to a plate. Add 1 or 2 slices of mozzarella and 1 or 2 slices of tomato on top of the rounds.

Season with pepper and salt and add 1 large or 2 smaller basil leaves. Finish with a drizzle of balsamic vinegar. Serve immediately and enjoy!
