Peel the red onion and garlic clove. Chop the red onion into (half) rings and the garlic clove as fine as possible. Divide the pork fillets into small strips and combine them with gyros spice mix, lemon juice and the finely chopped garlic.
Marinate for at least an hour, the longer you'll wait the tastier the meat will be. Chop the cucumber and cherry tomatoes into slices and rinse the lettuce if needed.
CREATE the homemade garlic sauce, or use store-bought sauce.
You can heat up the pita breads using an oven or a toaster. Heat a bit of olive oil in a large skillet and cook the marinated pork meat for a few minutes on high heat.
Slice the pitas to open them half way and fill them with lettuce, cucumber, red onion and tomatoes. Also divide the meat and garlic sauce, enjoy!
