Preparation -- 5 minutes

Rinse the lettuce and remove any excess water. If needed you can remove the hard parts on the bottom of the lettuce leaves. Finely chop 2 tablespoons capers and add them to the small bowl.

Use a zester to create lemon strips and then squeeze a bit of juice into the bowl, about half a teaspoon. Add 2 tablespoons of plain cream cheese, combine well and season with pepper and salt.

Finishing the smoked salmon cocktail -- 5 minutes

You can create this cocktail in a pretty cocktail glass, but you can also use other kinds of glasses or bowls. Add 1 or 2 lettuce leaves to the glass, half of the cream cheese mixture.

Fold 1 or 2 slices of smoked salmon into the shape of a rose and place on top of the cream cheese. Garnish with some parsley, lemon zest and maybe a small slice of lemon.

Serve immediately or refrigerate up to 2 hours max. Enjoy!
