MIX flour and a pinch of salt together, then add in 150 gram dairy butter. DICE the butter first for easy mixing. ADD in sugar, vanilla extract and the egg.
MIX until a nice dough ball has formed. WRAP the dough ball in cling film, place in the refrigerator and let it sit for about half an hour.
PRE-HEAT the oven to a temperature of 180 degrees Celsius or 355 Fahrenheit. DUST your work surface with flour, then roll out the dough until about half a centimeter thick.
USE the cookie cutter to create cookies. PLACE the cookies on the pre-lined baking tray. REPEAT until all of the dough has been used up. BAKE the cookies in the oven until golden-brown, this should take about 15 minutes depending on the oven.
LET the cookies cool off completely, enjoy!
